Job Description

As Financial Systems - Senior Analyst, you will implement, upgrade, enhance and support systems for financial reporting, financial planning, revenue, grants management office and other finance areas to support analysis/reporting of revenue, costs, margins across the enterprise. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 or above with PS General Ledger, PS Asset Management, PS Accounts Payable and PS Grants modules is preferred. Additionally, understanding of Healthcare Accounting is a major plus. You must be able to effectively collaborate with finance and IT teams to ensure financial systems are properly supported. You will provide support to ensure all systems are functioning optimally, data integrity is intact and financial reports are produced timely and accurately. You will also participate in implementing, upgrading and / or enhancing systems following the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supports various financial systems within the FSG portfolio, following the support model, while providing excellent customer service to all customers and end users.

  • Analyzes and troubleshoots production problems; escalates issues and executes solutions.

  • Working as a project lead on larger, more complex projects and/or on multiple projects, implements, upgrades or enhances systems, following the software development lifecycle and standard project management methods.

  • Maintains direct responsibility for successful outcome of assigned project(s).

  • Interacts with end users to assist in collecting, documenting and analyzing business requirements. Communicates clearly and timely with customers and end users.

  • Creates clear, functional and technical designs and specifications, develops solutions and communicates requirements to external developers.

  • Collaborates with external developers on the build of technical solutions and to ensure that systems are fully supported.

  • Develops, coordinates and executes detailed test plans; training end users and documents processes for knowledge transfer.

  • Identifies and documents project related decisions, risks and issues; documents and communicates project statuses timely and accurately.

  • Follow policies to ensure appropriate segregation of duties and communicates risks to manager.

  • Keeps current with new functionality or technical offerings related to financial systems as well as with accounting concepts pertinent to healthcare finance.

  • Recommends and implements improvements to current FSG or its end user processes as they relate to financial systems.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS or related field, required.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible financial information management experience, required.

  • Understanding of accounting principles and/or healthcare finance; knowledge of financial data as it relates to General Ledger, Asset Management, Project Costing, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Grants, Billing and Accounts Receivable, required.

  • Functional experience and thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft Application required.
