As a RadiologicTechnologist II you serve as a resource to department staff in the performance of duties and ensures department adherence to quality control protocols. You will perform general diagnostic procedures using x-ray and auxiliary equipment.In addition, ensure proper information is obtained for physician diagnosis. Cat Scan expierience preferred
Serves as a resource to department staff in the performance of duties and ensures department adherence to quality control protocols.
Prepares patient for examination.
Explains procedure in layman terms to relieve patient of anxiety.
Ensures patient is screened according to protocol, and assures consent for the procedure has been obtained, when necessary.
Positions patient for optimum testing procedure and conditions.
Sets-up equipment to administer the proper procedure in timely fashion.
Obtains x-ray images of anatomical area of interest as prescribed for physician interpretation.
Monitors patient condition by directly observing patient during examination, recognizing and reporting abnormal changes.
Acknowledges and reviews images in computer system. Ensures accuracy of all patient data. Processes imaging and prints CDs, as required.
Gathers previous related patient reports, as required.
Performs minor repairs and adjusts equipment, as required.
Adheres to Infection Control guidelines in the performance of duties. Maintains cleanliness of work area, equipment and accessories.
Performs related duties, as required.
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program, required.
New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration, required.
Minimum of two (2) years radiology technology experience, required.
Ability to communicate effectively, required.
