Job Description

Supports the activities of the HR Solutions department by leveraging project management best practices to structure, plan, and execute complex HR-related projects to deliver the maximum project value, on-time and on-budget.

  1. Coordinates, evaluates, and implements projects that support the operational goals of the Human Resources function.

  2. Assists in the definition and execution of high value projects across the HR function and overall health system.

  3. Partners with leadership to define project scope, establish goals, identify objectives, and create timelines.

  4. Creates governance structures, project plans, and communication mechanisms to manage highly complex projects.

  5. Communicates scope and objectives effectively to various internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, non-HR stakeholders, and vendor or client relationships.

  6. Participates in the development of the “Project Manager Community” to standardize project management methodologies, best practices, and tools & templates.

  7. Works with subject matter experts to ensure major milestones are met in order to achieve the necessary dependencies.

  8. Maintains project management tools, such as project charters, project plans, risk registers, issue logs, etc.

  9. Tracks and compiles status reports to ensure proper awareness through all team members.

  10. Identifies and escalates risks and issues as needed to proactively remove roadblocks or resolve problems.

  11. Performs related duties, as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or equivalent, required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years Project Management or related experience required.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing, leading, and implementing project management strategies and plans.

  • Ability to work through a matrixed organization to get the work done in a highly decentralized environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required.
