Recommends, implements and adheres to approved operating goals and objectives. Develops policies and procedures for patient nutritional care .
Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports.
Assists staff in resolving issues and a ddresses nutritional care in more complex patient care situations.
Designs and conducts nutrition training programs for physicians, residents, students, and healthcare team members.
Gathers and develops related nutritional educational materials for patients, family members, staff, and community.
Ensures operating compliance with government and agency regulations.
Maintains current knowledge on industry standards and trends. Ensures current nutritional guidelines are communicated and adhered to by staff.
Oversees the maintenance and integrity of conventional and computer-aided records and information.
Represents and markets oncology nutrition program to external organizations, healthcare professionals, governmental agencies, community groups, etc.
Reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.
Performs related duties, as required.
· Master’s Degree in Dietetics, Food or Nutrition, required.
· Registered Dietitian in the State of New York, required.
· Board Certified in Oncology Nutrition (CSO), required.
Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible clinical dietitian experience inclusive of oncology nutrition, required.
